BIA analysis of body composition with InBody 270

Body composition is currently the most accurate way to assess general health and monitor the progress of nutritional therapy, as it shows what body weight is made up of.

Bioimpedance analysis (BIA) of body composition is based on the method of measuring the impedance and resistance of the body with the help of a weak electric current.

The electricity used is completely safe and has been in medical use for several decades.

Numerous medical institutions around the world actively use InBody analyzers due to their exceptional precision and reliability.

In the "Veggae" nutritional counseling center, you will find that with the InBody 270 analyzer, which calculates:

  • body fat percentage and visceral adipose tissue
  • skeletal muscle mass (total and segmental; trunk and each limb individually)
  • amount of water and minerals
  • basal metabolism
  • recommended calorie intake
  • waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio
  • weight and body mass index (BMI)
  • specialized results for children

To measure, it is necessary to stand upright with bare feet on the base of the analyzer and grasp the handles. Contact with the bare skin of the feet and palms is necessary for the duration of the process (15 seconds).

People with medical and metal implants (e.g. pacemakers) and people with limited mobility (children, amputees or elderly people if they cannot stand still and hold the hand electrodes during testing) are not recommended to use the InBody 270 body composition analyzer.

This device is limited to persons weighing less than 250 kg and height 220 cm.
